Excellence in Academics and in Faith Formation
|
Our motto was developed in part from discussion of the NCA Steering Committee this past summer. It speaks to our mission and tells what we are about. In our discussions about what goals to set for our school improvement plan (which will include one faith based goal and one academic goal for this year) we talked about how reverence, respect, responsibility are very important in learning and guiding our students to a Catholic way of life at St. Pats. First, we want our students to be reverent at Mass, during Adoration, Reconciliation, prayer services, other times of prayer, and whenever we are in the presence of the Lord. Respect refers to the way our students behave towards others, that is, between student and student, between student and teachers or other adults, and between teacher and other faculty or staff members. It also refers to respect from you as parents in your support with teachers as we guide your children in their learning. Responsibility includes a students obligation such as to be at class on time with materials and homework completed. It also has to do with teachers obligation to facilitate your childs learning and your role as parents in the educational process. We would be remiss not to mention our excellence in academics and in faith formation as a part of our motto. St. Patrick School has an outstanding curriculum and teachers that will guide your childs learning and our programs will continue to progress as we develop our school improvement plan. Finally, St. Patrick School offers excellence in Catholic faith formation which is the real reason why we are hereteaching religion really happens throughout the day in all that we say and do; not just during religion classes. We emphasize our responsibility to respect others not only on the playground, but also in the classroom and in extra-curricular activities. These components
of our motto compliment very nicely with the mission of St. Patrick School
fostering spiritual growth and academics and with your cooperation and
